Fashion is riding a wave of “more is more” and this fall isn’t an exception. Cooler days call for additional layers and what can be better than cocooning in a soft knit?
Knitted clothes are not only the season’s essential, but a logical solution for combating the temperature drop. Dresses, pants, cardigans and jumpers are the building blocks of the sensible stylish autumnal wardrobe, yet basic models aren’t in the spotlight. Fall 2016 calls for bold sweaters, jumpers and cardigans – the styles that are eye-catching and bound to make a statement.
There aren’t any particular requirements for the style of the sweater: cropped or long, turtlenecks to V-necks, cardigans or jumpers; but a few guidelines do exist: bright colours – always welcomed, oversized fit, mix of textures, distressing, fringing, patchwork, various adornments and decorations, embellishments and embroideries – everything that can make a plain old classic design pop.
The beauty of this trend is it’s styling versatility: keep it a centrepiece of the look and opt for simple denim and tailoring, or dare to standout and pair it with other eccentric fashion favourites of the moment.
