According to Donatella Versace, spring-summer 2017 season is going to be intense and active. The principle of absolute freedom lies within dynamic modern women. The designer says that the future of the fashion industry is an athletic style. Versace decided to liberate women from the stereotypes in her new collection and based fresh designs on the principle of freedom of action and movement. This is a story about a woman with inherent independence and freedom to be who she wants to be.

Nylon and jersey play a special part in spring-summer lineup. Folding nylon creates the effect of layering and fills the looks with weightlessness and air, while jersey accentuates the curves and lines of the body.

The new Versace woman is liberated from glamour. It does not mean that she is not strong and powerful anymore. But there is a new power – the power inside her soul which she expresses through wearing playful pleated dresses below the knee. With all the layers, ruffles and high cuts she is no longer imprisoned by the restricting clothes design. The time to move forward has come.

It seems that all influential and powerful women of different ages come together on one catwalk. From Doutzen Kroes to Naomi Campbell, from Taylor Hill to Irina Shayk they all were unforgettable and gorgeous, fearless and powerful. And of course there was Gigi. Young and independent Versace woman.
