Giada’s collection presentation started with its venue. Pinacoteca di Brera, art museum and the national library, was perfect for the runway show inspired by Barett Newman’s canvases.
Very geometric and very minimalistic, Gabriele Colangelo’s spring-summer collection “translates into a rigorously fluid aesthetic”.
There were no complex colour combinations: monochromatic white and grey were diluted with mango-orange colour blocks. As for the fabrics, we could not miss the draping of the material and a variety of textures blended together with polyurethane prints. Silk, candy crepe, double-folded organza and knit fabrics create a feminine and relaxed silhouette.
The below-the-knee length is another noticeable element in Colangelo’s collection. Dresses, skirts, trousers are to pair with outerwear and gilets. All the layers echoed with the accessories: leather bags repeated the colour scheme of the collection.
Micro chains, metal ribbons and big cuffs in motion with the outfits, were sculpturing the bodies like a work of art.
