When good girl goes bad she spends her time at Fausto Puglisi’s store. His new collection is filled with urban graphic prints, there are Giacomo Balla paintings reworked on canvas. If Puglisi was minimalistic it would not be Puglisi. So I offer to have a look at 5 eye-catching features of his autumn-winter collection.
First of all take a note of colour palette – precious gemstone shades in fresh and unexpected combinations such as garnet and sapphire blue, amethyst purple and ruby red, turquoise and red beryl, diluted with rose quartz tint (Pantone’s colour of 2016).
Another distinct feature of the collection is a very inspiring and playful accessories line. Here we could find not only huge intricate chilli decorated cocktail rings but also belts and beanies with a symbolic sun on them.
Gladiators. They are our third must-have of Puglisi’s runway show. This strappy heeled thigh-high pair of sandals with chunky buckles would be a perfect addition to a mini dress, skirt or even a shirt dress.
Oh, and we could not miss a juxtaposition of varying lengths. On the the runway show we saw them all from thigh-skimming minis, ladylike midis to floor grazing maxi.
And last but not least – emotions. From the very start of the show with Madonna singing, to the designer’s appearance at the finale, we were on Puglisi’s vibe- naughty and joyful.
The fashion month and showcase of next season from NY, London, Milan and Paris are over, we’ve gauged what’s waiting us in FW16 and now it’s time to come back to our present – spring/summer.
