Everybody loves playing games. Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez from Au Jour Le Jour are no exceptions. In their collection, the designers offer us to solve simple but bright rebus working on our idea of perception.
Five elements – touch,smell,sight, tastes and hearing, pictured on tops and skirts – bringing us back to 90-s with their typical unforgettable logomania.
This puzzle game expresses the new concept of embellishment. Tops and skirts are adorned with organza macro embroideries while satin ribbons unveil the solution of the puzzle.
This season we are also offered to play with silhouettes and textures. Everything was in confusion on the runway. Vertical clean lines and shapes are combined with oversize or skinny fits. Woollen clothes and Prince of Wales print neighboured with tulle and organza as well as plexiglass maxi sequins were used as details on faux-fur coats.
Bright canary yellow and blue elements such as the Twitter bird and other symbols freshened the neutral palette of the collection.
